Intel已经确定，Windows 12将于2024年进行“更新”，新的系统将会有更大的突破，比如设计更高级等等。
消息人士透露，Windows 12的“以网络为中心”或“网络优先”变体主要围绕云和网络技术构建，例如PWA和Edge。
此外，新系统还有望采用“浮动任务栏”设计，该设计将在停靠式界面中看到任务栏。
微软希望通过将任务栏与桌面分离并使其边缘变圆，为任务栏创造一种浮动效果。
支持这种新设计的证据可以追溯到Windows 11的预览版本。最近的预览版包括一个禁用系统托盘时钟和日期的选项，这与之前的报道相一致。
